Window Film

Commercial film options we install

Window film is one of the most cost-effective upgrades for any building — reducing heat, glare, and energy costs without replacing existing glass. Our commercial window tinting services include transom film, frosted film, safety film and privacy film, with selection based on the existing glass and your project requirements.

Solar Control & Energy Film

Solar-control film can reduce solar heat gain, glare and UV exposure; performance depends on the film and existing glazing. Dramatically lowers cooling costs, protects furniture and flooring from fading, and improves comfort year-round. Also improves the thermal performance of single-pane windows — reducing heat gain in summer with meaningful energy savings for older buildings. Available in a range of tints from nearly clear to dark.

Most popular

Privacy Film

Frosted film diffuses light and obscures views; reflective one-way film depends on the lighting difference between the two sides and may not provide privacy at night. Blackout film blocks light and views. We help select an option for your space.

Security & Safety Film

Security film can help retain broken glass and may delay forced entry when installed as part of a suitable system. Performance depends on the film, glass, frame and attachment method. Applied film is not a substitute for a tested and approved impact-rated window, door or storefront assembly. Ask us about the right protection for your opening.

Decorative Film

Frosted, etched-look, patterned, and colored architectural film applied directly to existing glass. A cost-effective way to add branding, privacy, or visual interest to office glass, retail windows, and interior partitions — without replacing the glass.

Anti-Graffiti Film

Sacrificial film applied to glass, mirrors, and polished metal surfaces. When vandalized, only the film is replaced — not the substrate. Saves thousands in replacement costs for high-traffic retail, transit, and commercial buildings.

Smart Glass

Switchable smart glass — privacy on demand

Switchable privacy glass and film use PDLC technology to change between a clearer and a frosted appearance. Electrochromic glass is a different technology used to vary tint; it is not another name for PDLC privacy glass.

Smart Glass Clear ↔ Opaque

How smart glass works

Smart glass uses a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) film laminated between glass panels. When electricity is applied, the crystals align and the glass becomes clear. When the power is off, the crystals scatter light and the glass turns opaque. It switches in milliseconds.

  • Instant privacy without blinds or curtains
  • Works with standard light switches, remotes, or smart home systems
  • Available in standard sizes or custom-fabricated panels
  • Can be retrofitted to existing glass with PDLC film
  • Ideal for conference rooms, healthcare, hospitality, and luxury residential

Conference Rooms

Replace frosted film or blinds with smart glass walls. Crystal-clear collaboration spaces that switch to fully private in seconds for presentations or sensitive discussions.

Healthcare & Medical

Visual privacy for medical and dental spaces. The level of privacy depends on the selected product, lighting and proximity to the glass. Review the complete room design and care requirements for the intended use.

Hospitality & Hotels

Bathroom partitions, suite dividers, and lobby features that wow guests. Smart glass is a memorable design element that elevates the guest experience in luxury properties.

Why Film?

Film vs. glass replacement — which is right for you?

Window film is a cost-effective way to reduce heat, glare, and UV exposure without replacing your glass. For broken, fogged, or impact-rated glass, replacement is the right call.

Window Film

  • Applied to existing glass — no replacement needed
  • Installed in hours, not days
  • 10–40% of the cost of glass replacement
  • Removable and upgradeable
  • Available in solar, privacy, security, and decorative options
  • Minimal disruption to business operations
Best for existing buildings

Glass Replacement

  • Permanent, structural solution
  • Best for broken, failed, or fogged IGUs
  • Required for impact-rated hurricane glazing
  • New construction and major renovations
  • Maximum energy performance with new IGU glazing
  • Greater longevity — 20–30 year lifespan
Best for new construction

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does window film installation cost in Orlando?
Every project is different. Pricing for solar-control film, including ceramic film options, depends on the product selected, the size and number of windows, and installation requirements. Contact us for a free quote tailored to your project.
Does window film really reduce heat and cooling costs?
Solar-control film, including ceramic film options, can help reduce heat entering through windows. Actual energy savings depend on the film, existing glass, sun exposure and building conditions. We can discuss suitable options for your project, but we do not guarantee a specific savings amount or payback period.
How long does window film last?
Quality commercial window film lasts 10–15 years with proper care. Most films come with manufacturer warranties of 10 years for commercial applications and lifetime warranties for residential. We only install reputable, warranted products.
Can window film be applied to any glass?
Window film can be applied to most glass including insulated glass (IG) units, but compatibility must be verified before installation. Applying film to IG units may affect your glass manufacturer's warranty. We assess each project individually and will advise you on compatibility and any warranty considerations before proceeding.
What is the difference between smart glass and privacy film?
Static privacy film has a fixed appearance, such as frosted, reflective or blackout. PDLC privacy glass and smart film switch between clearer and frosted states using electricity. Product suitability, privacy and cost depend on your application.
Can smart glass be retrofitted to existing windows?
Yes — PDLC smart film can be applied to existing glass surfaces, turning ordinary windows into switchable privacy glass without full replacement. It requires a power source and a simple controller. Full smart glass panels are also available for new installations.
